FAQs
Currently, all meetings are held online via Zoom. I plan to offer live meetings in Pula (Croatia) soon. Both formats are equally effective, the most important thing is that you feel safe and comfortable.
Yes. The work happens in your body and nervous system, not in a physical space. Online work can even be safer for some - you are in your familiar surroundings. In-person work has its advantages (shared space, energy, the ability to work through touch), but the depth of the process is not dependent on location.
Breathwork is a natural practice, but it is not for everyone at all times. If you feel curious and ready to connect with yourself through your body, it is probably a good choice. If you are unsure, a free consultation is the best first step. Also, there are certain medical conditions in which breathwork is not recommended (see the question about contraindications).
Yes. Breathwork is not recommended for certain conditions - glaucoma, serious heart conditions, epilepsy, pregnancy, psychotic episodes, etc. Before starting, you will complete a short health questionnaire so that we can check if this is safe and appropriate for you at this time.
No. You don't need to know anything in advance. I guide you through the entire process and we go at a pace that suits you. Your only task is to come and breathe.
A few things help:light meal and reduced fluid intake 2-3 hours before (a full stomach makes breathing difficult)comfortable clothesthink about what our intention is for entering the sessionAdditionally for the online meeting:water and blanket nearbya quiet space where no one will interrupt youcell phone on airplane mode or in another roomheadphones (recommended)paper and pen (if you want to write afterwards)
This is normal and often part of the process. We work trauma-informed, without forcing. You have a choice at any moment - you can slow down, pause or change your breathing. Your safety is always the priority. There is no “right” way to feel. Likewise, it may happen that no emotions arise and this does not mean that nothing happened, nor that the encounter was “unsuccessful”.
It depends on what you want. For some, one meeting is enough to reset. Others choose continuity, weekly or twice a month for deeper and more stable change. We determine this together.
Most people feel calmer and more present immediately after a session. Sometimes you may feel tired, emotionally sensitive, or need some quiet time. I recommend a quieter rest of the day, increased water intake, and a walk or short stay in nature, if available. There are no rules, listen to what your body needs.
You can cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. Otherwise, the appointment will be charged in full, as the appointment is reserved just for you.
Not. Breathwork is not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment or medical care. This is a practice of self-regulation and somatic work that can strongly support emotional health, but is not a substitute for professional medical care. If you are in a therapeutic process, breathwork can be a great supplement (with a safety assessment).
This is a very common reason for coming. We work gently, trauma-informed, without forcing. You have a choice at any moment - you can slow down, stop or change your breathing. The goal is not to “push through the experience”, but to build a sense of safety in the body. That is exactly why it is a good tool for working with panic or control.
And that's completely normal. Some people feel emotions and sensations immediately. Others need time to build a sense of security. Breathwork is not a performance, there is no "right" experience. Each encounter does what you need at that moment. And just noticing the breath in everyday life is a big change.
Absolutely yes. Breathwork and therapy complement each other beautifully. Therapy helps you understand why something happened (the mind). Breathwork helps your body process and release it. It doesn't replace therapy, but it supports the process. If you're going to therapy, it's just important to know this so you can work safely. Some therapists even recommend breathwork as part of the work.
PAUSE is the framework I was educated in. Trauma-informed, science-based, and clearly structured. It's not just about breathing techniques, it's about creating safety and working with the nervous system. Change doesn't happen by imposition, it happens by titration. Every body is different, and this method respects that.
You don't have to open up at all if you're not ready. Some people come in closed, skeptical, or reserved, and that's totally fine. My job is not to force you to open up, but to create a space where you can do so - if you want to. You control the pace, the sharing, and the intensity.
No. You don't have to believe in anything. You don't have to be spiritual. Breathwork is based on physiology and the nervous system. When you change your breathing, the body responds, it's biology. Some come skeptical and that's okay. The body will respond regardless of your beliefs. All you have to do is come with a little curiosity, and see if you want to continue.
